DevoDog's Combat Manager is a MapTool framework for 4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons games.
This framework is based on Rumble's Combat Manager (not his fully automated frameworks) and was only possible due to his support (and the support of many other MapTool gurus).
The framework can be easily adapted for use in face-to-face games simply to track data during combats (with the DM being the only one using MapTool during a game) instead of being used by all participants in a game.
Main features that some other frameworks include that this one does NOT are:
- There is no click-based targeting (I haven't been able to figure out a simple way to include it)
- Attacks aren't processed automatically (no indication of whether the attack hits or misses; no applying of effects automatically)
- When players level up and/or acquire new equipment, the tokens will need to be rebuilt (at least partially)
The manual processing of the effects of attacks is intentional. This is to make sure that the DM knows that attacks of effects are being applied correctly because he is the only applying the effects.
